The girls were born on November 16th, 2007, 16 weeks early. Mallory Kate – 1 lb 8 oz, Evan Reese – 1 lb 1 oz, and Kelby Grace – 1 lb 5 oz. Upon their delivery, Mallory and Kelby were transferred to St. David’s South and were doing fairly well considering the circumstances. Our little Evan Reese was a fighter, but she had a lot of problems and she was with us for about 5 hours. We love you Evan and we miss you everyday, but we know we’ll see you again one day. Mallory and Kelby both went through a lot in their 105 day stay in the hospital, from heart surgeries, to brain bleeds, to infections. Many prayers were answered and we thank God everyday for everything He has done for them. Today they are perfectly healthy and growing bigger and stronger everyday. We started this blog to keep everybody updated on their progress. You can scroll down to the bottom of the page for a slideshow from the NICU days.

Not Much Longer...

Well, we spoke to the girls' primary doctor yesterday and he told us that they are both looking great. He actually said "I hope their room is ready."

They are both doing great with the bottle feeding - Mallory is getting 6 a day and Kelby is getting 4. Kelby came off of her oxygen yesterday and she has been doing great so far.

We talked to him again today and he said he would guess - as long as we keep progressing like we have been - about another week to ten days. He said they would like to get them home at the same time - he said that they would probably go home on oxygen monitors, but we'll see. Their room is ready - except for a few things Jen is working on. We'll post some pics soon.

Well that's awesome news. Itll be a Grand Homecoming for sure. And it'll be so nice for the girls to sleep in their own beds and have mom and dad right there. I'm very excited for you all! Love the chubby cheeks ;)

Feeding the girls over the weekend, seems to me like Kelby is trying really hard to catch up to Mallory! They are doing great! I am very proud of them!
