The girls were born on November 16th, 2007, 16 weeks early. Mallory Kate – 1 lb 8 oz, Evan Reese – 1 lb 1 oz, and Kelby Grace – 1 lb 5 oz. Upon their delivery, Mallory and Kelby were transferred to St. David’s South and were doing fairly well considering the circumstances. Our little Evan Reese was a fighter, but she had a lot of problems and she was with us for about 5 hours. We love you Evan and we miss you everyday, but we know we’ll see you again one day. Mallory and Kelby both went through a lot in their 105 day stay in the hospital, from heart surgeries, to brain bleeds, to infections. Many prayers were answered and we thank God everyday for everything He has done for them. Today they are perfectly healthy and growing bigger and stronger everyday. We started this blog to keep everybody updated on their progress. You can scroll down to the bottom of the page for a slideshow from the NICU days.

Creative Ideas Needed!!

As our first Halloween approaches we are racking our brains trying to think of creative costumes for the girls. We would like them to be something that goes together so that they are not the same thing. We would also like them to not be any of the usual baby costumes ie. pumpkin, fairy, puppy, peas n a pod etc. Looking for something different. So for all of our loving fans we welcome your ideas. Who knows maybe we will make a contest. Who ever wins gets to keep the girls for a night! haha!

Happy Fall!

At last we meet............

Today we got to meet Miss Alexandria Kaye, Trey's new baby sister. She is absolutely beautiful!! Trey is a very proud big brother and obviously his parents Don and Saundra are beside themselves. We just adore this family and are so glad that God has placed them as well as our other friends from church in our lives. Our friends here have become our family.

While we were at North Austin MC we ran into a handful of nurses that were working on November 16, 2007. I don't even know exactly how to say it other than I am very flattered that these phenomenal nurse remembered us. It is very heart warming to me. They can understand more than I can what true miracles our Mallory Kate, Evan Reese and Kelby Grace are. Everyone including the Director of Nursing that was there that night, greeted us, loved loved and loved on the girls, asked about them and took pictures of them. They also brought me a picture they had taken that night as they very deservingly named themselves Team Triplets!

Slowly more and more everyday the foggy lens on that night becomes clearer to me. I know that this is God slowly letting me understand all of it. (Thank you God for that, You truly only give us what we can handle) As I realize everything I am forever grateful for the St. David's staff at North Austin and at the main hospital. God entrusted them with our care and they did an awesome job. If I could do anything for them I would. I can not even come up with a way to say thank you to all of the medical staff that took care of the girls, Jeremy and me.

As I tuck the girls in every night I say a little prayer for them. Thanking God for letting me be their Mommy, for another day with them and ask for yet another day to see their smiling faces. Tonight that prayer meant so much more.

Thank you God for my baby girls. Thank you that I am privileged to be their Mommy. Let me never forget what a privilege that is. Thank you for taking care of our little Evan Reese. We love and miss her so much, but know she is having a blast in Heaven! Give her an extra hug and kiss from Mommy and Daddy. Thank you God for the fabulous medical staff that you have placed in our lives. Please continue to bless them and take care of them. I love you and I am truly honored to call myself a child of God.

Here are a few pics from the last few weeks. We went down to Gruene this weekend. Our friend Erin from Lubbock came down to stay a few days and we needed to have a family picture made for church, so she offered to take a few for us. We also met cousins Judy and Larry in Gruene.
