The girls were born on November 16th, 2007, 16 weeks early. Mallory Kate – 1 lb 8 oz, Evan Reese – 1 lb 1 oz, and Kelby Grace – 1 lb 5 oz. Upon their delivery, Mallory and Kelby were transferred to St. David’s South and were doing fairly well considering the circumstances. Our little Evan Reese was a fighter, but she had a lot of problems and she was with us for about 5 hours. We love you Evan and we miss you everyday, but we know we’ll see you again one day. Mallory and Kelby both went through a lot in their 105 day stay in the hospital, from heart surgeries, to brain bleeds, to infections. Many prayers were answered and we thank God everyday for everything He has done for them. Today they are perfectly healthy and growing bigger and stronger everyday. We started this blog to keep everybody updated on their progress. You can scroll down to the bottom of the page for a slideshow from the NICU days.

Creative Ideas Needed!!

As our first Halloween approaches we are racking our brains trying to think of creative costumes for the girls. We would like them to be something that goes together so that they are not the same thing. We would also like them to not be any of the usual baby costumes ie. pumpkin, fairy, puppy, peas n a pod etc. Looking for something different. So for all of our loving fans we welcome your ideas. Who knows maybe we will make a contest. Who ever wins gets to keep the girls for a night! haha!

Happy Fall!

J and I were joking about bacon and egg costumes or monkey and banana costumes for our girls. We're going a little more mainstream this year, though.

A friend of mine that has twins found the cutest costumes at Dillards. Her twins are going to be Thing 1 and Thing 2 from Cat in the Hat. Parenting magazine had some cute costume ideas in it this month.

We are gonna be 50's kids. I got Abbey a poodle skirt and some cat eye glasses. Porter will of course wear his jeans rolled up and greased hair along with a MOM tattoo. I go all out at Halloween. We are dressing up too.
And I just realized that after I was messing with the blog, I deleted you all. Forgive me! I'll put you back on.
The babies are gorgeous. Getting easier for you?

I like the bacon and eggs that is cute! But so is the money and banana. I thought maybe cartoon characters but those are much better. So if we dont' win this contest does that we don't win an ight with the girls. How much fun would that be 3 almost 11 month olds under one roof!!!!
