The girls were born on November 16th, 2007, 16 weeks early. Mallory Kate – 1 lb 8 oz, Evan Reese – 1 lb 1 oz, and Kelby Grace – 1 lb 5 oz. Upon their delivery, Mallory and Kelby were transferred to St. David’s South and were doing fairly well considering the circumstances. Our little Evan Reese was a fighter, but she had a lot of problems and she was with us for about 5 hours. We love you Evan and we miss you everyday, but we know we’ll see you again one day. Mallory and Kelby both went through a lot in their 105 day stay in the hospital, from heart surgeries, to brain bleeds, to infections. Many prayers were answered and we thank God everyday for everything He has done for them. Today they are perfectly healthy and growing bigger and stronger everyday. We started this blog to keep everybody updated on their progress. You can scroll down to the bottom of the page for a slideshow from the NICU days.

No Chicken Legs Here!!!

Hey Everyone!

Jeremy is sick with the flu so I thought I would do the posting for him today. Mallory weighs 5.06lbs!!! and Kelby weighs 4.3lbs!!! They are getting soooo big.
Mallory is taking 2 bottles a day of 60cc. She was up to 3 bottles for a day or so, but that was to much work. The whole suck, swallow, breathe - is a lot of work for a little girl. She is on very little oxygen only .25L of oxygen flow and sating a 100.
Kelby should start taking a bottle in the next day or so. She is in a big girl crib and is only on .5L of oxygen flow and sating 96.
The doctors want to get them both off of oxygen this week. They are also looking for a a pedi. crib to co-bed them both in. When they find one we will take lots of pictures of that. Still no dates when they are coming home. I thought for a little while Mallory would be home by next Friday, now I am thinking it may take her another week or to two weeks.
Hope everyone is having a great day. Praise God for my healthy beautiful girls!!
Jennifer

Oh, I know it's so hard to be patient right now! We were absolute pests to the neo doctors. One would answer before we even had a chance to ask... "Yes, I know you want to know when they're coming home, here's what I can tell you today..." Ha! Soon soon soon. Grow and eat and breathe babies. We continue to pray.

Yes! Yes! Praise the Lord for these healthy, weight gaining babies. I know you want them home. They will be home soon. Meanwhile you can be confident they are gaining and healthy and preparing to see their room and sleep in their cozy beds. (Still amazes me how fast they gain!)
60cc's.... WOW! That's very good.
